Sample News Release

This is the standard news release template for the 16 colleges of KCTCS and the System office. The official fonts for all news releases are Century Gothic or Georgia.

A standard font size is 11 points. Margins do not need to be altered unless space is an issue.

The news release should include:

• College logo
• Date
• Contact information
• Headline (Can use a subhead if needed) - Headline should be upper and lower case as shown in example.
• Body text
• Boiler plate
• Social media channels

Contact information should include name, phone number and/or cell number and e-mail address.
