KCTCS Workforce Solutions Closes Workforce Gaps

Kentucky Community and Technical College System’s (KCTCS) Workforce Solutions stands with employers to close workforce gaps by offering a comprehensive approach for developing a sustainable and skilled workforce.

KCTCS Workforce Solutions partners with more than 5300 companies across the state to deliver customized and innovative training and retention strategies for employers. Through TRAINS funding, companies can receive up to 75% off the cost of training and assessment programs for new workers and incumbent staff.

INOAC USA, INC. entered a partnership with Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) six years ago as a part of their Talent Development strategy to deliver a formal Leadership Training program for team members across North America.

  • The 18-month college accredited program, called People Upward Mobility Program (PUMP), is designed to develop key skills and competencies of team members.
  • The rigorous training curriculum consists of weekly online sessions that develop candidates' skills in the areas of communication, strategic management, continuous improvement, and leadership building.
  • On-site sessions allow candidates to come together with their peers, instructors and INOAC leadership.
  • Additionally, candidates complete homework assignments and work on projects that build upon the topics they are studying

Through this partnership, INOAC has developed a more skilled workforce, increased employee retention, improved employee morale and improved engagement from candidates.

ECTC created a customized solution that is tailored to meet the specific needs of INOAC. The program directly aligns training & development activities with the business’s skill requirements to build a stronger workforce.
