Call to Order
KCTCS Board of Regents Parliamentarian and General Counsel Pam Duncan called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m. ET via Microsoft TEAMS. The press was notified on October 5, 2023. A quorum was present.
Introductions
General Counsel Duncan introduced staff from Huron who presented a PowerPoint update to the Board.
Huron Progress Report
Ms. Kalkidan Tefera from Huron provided an overview of the compensation and equity project, including the Position Mapping Phase.
Regents requested access to position mapping and classification documents. It was agreed that Huron would compile and provide these details. The next update is scheduled for November 9, 2023, focusing on compensation and classification.
General Counsel Duncan noted that the President’s Leadership Team and System Leadership will review outcomes and develop an implementation plan. All materials are available at:
Approval of Minutes
Chair Martin called for corrections to the September 14, 2023, meeting minutes. Hearing none, he declared the minutes approved by consensus.
Next Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for November 9, 2023, via Microsoft TEAMS.
Adjournment
Regent Heerdink moved to adjourn. Regent Whitten seconded. The motion carried unanimously, and the meeting adjourned at 5:26 p.m. ET.
