Email Signature

Email is a critical brand touchpoint and is a great opportunity to share information and support our authentic identity.

Remember that an email signature is a reflection of your institution and is a modern version of stationery.

A sample email signature is below. You can copy and paste it into your email signature setup to simplify formatting.

Century Gothic is the approved font for email signatures. Text should be no larger than 12 pt and no smaller than 8 pt.

Include your name, title, department and direct phone number in your email signature.

You may also include:

  • Address
  • Cell Phone Number
  • Web url or professional social media link and college logo
  • Preferred pronouns

Include a key message or college-approved message.

KCTCS policy prohibits using the following:

  • Colored backgrounds.
  • Flashing or animated images.
  • Taglines or messages that are not current.
  • Personal quotes or messages of affiliation.
  • Confidentiality or environmental statements.

As with other digital communications, email body and signature contents should meet web accessibility standards.
