KCTCS names new associate vice president of Workforce and Economic Development

Versailles, Ky. – Jessie Schook has been named associate vice president of Workforce and Economic Development for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). In her new role she will oversee partnerships with business and industry stakeholders and key partners to support the development of innovative workforce initiatives. She is also tasked with collaborating across the colleges to ensure alignment of talent supply and labor market demands.

Prior to this position, Schook served as KCTCS director of Workforce Solutions, which delivers programs and services for businesses, such as customized training and apprenticeship programs, as well as programs for individuals who want to upgrade their skills. 

Before joining KCTCS in 2020, Schook was director of education and workforce connectivity at Greater Louisville, Inc. Her background also includes a stint at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana and various teaching positions.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree from New York University. She also has completed coursework toward a doctorate at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
