Dr. Jennifer Lindon is a native Southeastern Kentuckian, raised in Hazard.
She graduated from Hazard High School with honors and went on to attend Morehead State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting option, as well as a master’s degree in business administration along with over eighteen specialization hours in computer information systems.
Dr. Lindon began her higher education career as a student in 1988 at what was then Hazard Community College and holds an associate degree from this institution.
She credits the college with assisting her in determining her career pathway.
In 2010, Dr. Lindon received her doctoral degree in community college leadership through Mississippi State University.
Dr. Lindon has private industry experience in healthcare, small business and distribution and logistics. Her professional experience began in 1992 with the Kentucky Tech System in the business office and later in financial aid and student services.
At Hazard Community and Technical College, Dr. Lindon has served as a teaching faculty member, program coordinator, Workforce Solutions liaison, academic dean and as chief campus administrator on the HCTC Technical Campus.
She is the first female president of Hazard Community and Technical College. She has one son and resides in Hazard.
