More than 100 guests and exhibitors attended the third annual KCTCS/UK Supplier Diversity Fair held at the Prichard Community Center on October 1 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

The event kicked off with remarks from KCTCS Vice President Wendell Followell, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College President Thelma White, University of Kentucky Supplier Diversity Business Enterprise Coordinator George Brown and Statewide Program Director, Kentucky Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Cordelia Harbut.

One participating vendor has seen a difference in her bottom line since attending the fair the past couple of years.

It was the best decision ever to come to the fair, said Emily Braun of Land Shark Shredding. We appreciate the opportunities we have been provided since attending in 2014.

The Supplier Diversity fair was a free, matchmaking event for diverse suppliers (minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned and physically challenged) to meet
face-to-face with representatives from all of KCTCS 16 colleges, the KCTCS System Office and buyers from UK.
