KCTCS is proud of its highly educated, caring faculty. Many have doctorate degrees, and a large number of our faculty members are working professionals who bring their wealth of real world experience into the classroom.


Program Offerings

KCTCS offers 111 programs; five transfer programs and 106 technical programs.

KCTCS is the state’s largest provider of higher education, online courses and workforce training.

Nearly half the state’s undergraduates start their college journey at KCTCS.

Not all jobs require a bachelor’s or even an associate degree, so KCTCS offers a number of college credentials. Some can be earned in as little as four months and lead to good paying jobs.

Workforce Solutions

KCTCS partners with businesses across Kentucky to provide training for their employees. We offer programs that address the full spectrum of needs faced by business and industry, as well as programs for individuals who want to upgrade their skills.


KCTCS has the lowest tuition in Kentucky. It is less than half the cost of its four-year partners.

Tuition for 2017-18 is $162 per credit hour, or $3,888 per year based on 12 hours each semester.

Students Receiving Financial Aid

Sixty-five percent of KCTCS students receive some type of financial assistance to pay for college.

KCTCS offers a wide range of financial aid options including scholarships and federal and state aid.


Campus and Facilities

KCTCS is a statewide system of 16 colleges with more than 70 campuses.

There is a KCTCS location within a 30-minute drive of 95 percent of all Kentuckians.

KCTCS is an open access institution and welcomes students of all ages, races and genders.
