Mary Hemlepp, APR

Mary Hemlepp serves as Chief Communication Officer for KCTCS. She began her KCTCS career in 2013 as a consultant to the Marketing Department and accepted a full-time public relations position in 2016. Her career in public relations and marketing spans 30 years and includes working internally for a hospital, a national gasoline/convenience store chain and two agencies. Prior to joining KCTCS, Mary had a consulting business for 13 years where she advised large and small companies, nonprofits and higher ed clients.

She earned a bachelor's degree in news/editorial journalism from Marshall University and is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America, a distinction held by fewer than 20% of PR practitioners worldwide.
